What our guardians say
Mia started in Babies and Beginners at the age of 3 and has progressed through the grades to Bronze Star doing her ADA exams along the way. This wonderfully supportive dance community is a testament to the dedication of Miss Lisa and all of the teachers that make it such a special place to dance. Mia loves dancing with LWDS and over the years our whole family has enjoyed being part of the LWDS community through concerts, eisteddfods, trips away and most especially watching our daughter develop and thrive doing what she loves. We look forward to sharing many more years with LWDS.

Lisa Williams dance studio is a great dance studio for both boys and girls to learn how to dance. My two daughters have been with the studio for 10 years and have loved every year. They have been given opportunities to experience new dance styles like contemporary and hip hop and be a part of the showgroup team which perform at a number of dance competitions throughout the year. To see your child perform on stage with confidence is a great testament to the studio and all teachers. It is a friendly and welcoming studio from beginners, intermediate and seniors. My daughters have made many friends and the dance teachers are so committed to the girls and boys in a fun, friendly and caring atmosphere.

LWDS is a family orientated, inclusive, fun environment for young children that promotes self-worth, positive body image and a healthy attitude to competition. Dances and costumes are age appropriate and focus on the elements and correct technique of dance genres. Its an environment where life long friendships are formed and provides a wonderful environment with positive role models. I’m proud that my daughter is a LWDS student, teacher and leader.

What our graduates say
I have been a member of LWDS since 2003, starting in the babies and beginners and now teaching for Miss Lisa. What makes LWDS unique is the supportive community and the strong bonds you build with the other dancers in your classes. The relationships made at LWDS are relationships that last for life, with many dancers staying in close contact even after finishing their dancing career.
Dancing is a wonderful way to learn gross and fine motor skills, develop memory and critical thinking skills, and keep active in a fun and friendly environment. I highly recommend LWDS for all ages and abilities. At LWDS you will gain everything you want from a dance class and more!

For as long as I can remember I have had a passion for dancing and Lisa Williams Dance Studio has helped make me the dancer I am today. This is my 12th year with LWDS and I wouldn’t want to dance anywhere else. Miss Lisa, all of the teachers and the many friends I have made along the way all make LWDS a great place to dance. No matter how chaotic the world around might feel, dancing at LWDS lets me escape it all and just enjoy what I love doing best.
I love my dance family and dancing at Lisa Williams Dance Studio always makes me so happy.

I am fortunate enough to have been part of the LWDS family for 27 years. Lisa not only prides herself on ensuring correct dance technique and safety, but she also fosters a love of dance with each of her students. I am so grateful to be part of such a wonderful studio.

I love dancing at LWDS because there are so many opportunities that include; showgroup which means going to comps and eisteddfods. At the end of the year we do Concerts where we have learned and perform. We also learn grade work with jazz, tap and ballet. We get the chance to do exams to perform formally to someone who critics you. If you aren’t wanting to it so formally you do CPA, you don’t have to do exams if your’re not comfortable. This year we’re starting ACRO and Contemporary. The studio offers many different styles of dancing. LWDS has many types of dancing and they’re always fun.

Lisa Williams Dance Studio is more than a place that passionate dancers come to learn. It’s a place where everyone belongs, a place where you can be yourself and enjoy being the person that you want to be. ‘Dance is where the heart is’ is something we believe in at LWDS and that is what makes us so special, we not only believe in the way you are seen as a dancer but most importantly, the way you are seen as a person. The connections and friendships that everyone here has made are what makes Lisa Williams a family, and that’s what puts us over the top. All of the teachers are dedicated to sharing their knowledge of dance with all of the students as well as making tight friendships with all of the students and bringing out the best in everyone. LWDS has showed me that it is not important to be the best ancer, but to have a passion for dancing that no one can take away.

I have had the privilege of being both a student and a teacher at Lisa Williams Dance Studio (LWDS) over the past 24 years. I could not speak more highly of the studio! It is a welcoming and safe space where all students are nurtured and supported.
The professionally trained teaching team truly care about each and everyone of the students, both inside and outside of the studio. Under the Australasian Dance Association (ADA) a technical foundation is instilled and students are taught about the importance of discipline and dance etiquette but LWDS is also a space where the students are encouraged to have fun, be themselves and explore their potential.
During my time at LWDS I am thankful for the opportunities to complete my ADA examinations in tap, jazz and ballet. I have also throughly enjoyed competing in a range of ADA competitions, particularly the Championships and Awards Days, as well as in dance eisteddfods across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory with the LWDS Showgroup team.
Personal highlights of my time with the studio include our trips to California and Orlando where we performed in Disney Land, Disney World, Universal Studio Orlando and the Kennedy Space Centre. On top of this, an annual highlight is the end of year concert, which is always so professionally presented.
I am so grateful for all I have learnt under the guidance of Miss Lisa and her teaching team throughout my many years involved with the studio. They have undoubtedly supported me to grow into the dancer and woman I am today. I am also so grateful for the lifelong friendships I have made and that I am able to call these people my family. There is no better place to dance!
